Your Mouthwash

It is very important to complement your daily oral hygiene by using mouthwash in the morning and at night, especially in case of gum conditions, such as gingivitis or periodontitis.

A mouthwash should contain adequate amounts of chlorexidine (a certified antiseptic agent) so that it can be effective against specific bacteria. Mouthwashes are still medicinal products and, as such, they should be bought from the chemist following a doctor's prescription. Buying random supermaket products should be avoided.

Mouthwashes containing alcohol (also identifiable by a very strong heat sensation) may cause dry mouth, therefore they should be avoided.
